On Saturday, June 9th, a free community event that inspires kids to exercise
and live a healthy lifestyle will be held at noon during the annual Relay For
Life at Oso Viejo Park in Mission Viejo. "The Fastest Kid in Town Race" racers
compete by age and gender in a 50 yard dash. The event ends with a run-off
among category winners to determine the overall “Fastest Kid in Town.”
The Fastest Kid in Town Race is a joint effort between the Mission Viejo
Reporter, Mission Viejo Rotary Club and the City of Mission Viejo to raise
awareness on the importance of fitness and activity for young children.
Participants will compete in four age categories: 5-6 years, 7-8 years,
9-10 years, and 11-12 years.
